What is Symphony of Time? It's still incredibly controversial, but I'm not concerned about that. And here's why. Starting in 2026, SoT began my foray into using Suno to wrap music around my poems/lyrics.
I've been a poet since 1975, accumulating >500 poems and lyrics over that time. I've never published any of them since poetry is highly personal, doesn't sell and has little audience. They've been the voice of my personal Muse for more than 50 years now. But lyrics? Oh, they most def have an audience. Despite not being a musican and having exactly zero musical talent, background or experience, I'm addicted to music. Always have been. But the time was never right for me to team up with musicians to put them to music. As musicians have always been aware, the industry is cut throat. I want total and complete creative control over my work. Plus, I'm not interested in pop culture music anyway. And lastly, and quite unfortunately, I have zero ability to understand how to make music. It's a bridge too far for me.
So now, Suno allows me to use my poems, with the proper reworking, to turn them into the music they always craved to be in the first place. I select the prompts for the music style, determine if the result has the proper frisson energy and then publish what works. And by god, it worked like a dream. Using AI to do this was the exact right thing for me to do.
No musicians were harmed in making any of this. No egos were bruised. And no exasperatingly long learning curve (for me) was needed to achieve the results I wanted or needed. In fact, I'm astounded it worked at all. But it did. This *IS* a godsend for me.
